An Indian interior designer
in North Dallas.

Most new homes here are built to one plan, for one idea of how a family lives. If yours cooks every day, keeps a mandir, and fills the house at Diwali, that plan quietly works against you.

CoziZone is a design studio in Frisco, Texas run by Neha, who grew up in India and has spent the years since 2019 designing homes across North Dallas. We design contemporary interiors that hold Indian life properly — without turning a house into a theme.

What we actually design for

The parts a floor plan leaves out

A builder's plan accounts for bedrooms and bathrooms. These are the things it does not, and they are usually where our work starts.

Pooja and mandir rooms

Not a cupboard in the hallway. A room — or a defined part of one — designed properly: the right orientation, storage that is actually usable, lighting that flatters the deities rather than flattening them, and materials that can take daily diya and incense. In smaller homes we design mandirs that close discreetly without feeling hidden away.

A kitchen that can take real cooking

Daily Indian cooking defeats most builder kitchens. Extraction that actually pulls, not a recirculating hood. Prep space for a pressure cooker, a kadai and a tawa running at once. Spice storage within reach of the stove. Surfaces and finishes that will not stain from turmeric or scar from heat. Where it matters, a second prep or spice kitchen.

Seating for a real gathering

A family room furnished for four does not survive Diwali. We plan for the evening when thirty people arrive — flexible seating, circulation that works when the room is full, and floor seating where that is how your family actually sits.

Heritage, worn lightly

Pichwai, Madhubani, Kerala mural work, brass, carved wood, a jhoola. Placed with restraint in a contemporary room, these pieces give a house a depth that new furniture never reaches. Used heavily, they make it a theme. The difference is in the editing, and that is the part we are good at.

Vastu, when it matters to you

If vastu is part of how your household makes decisions, we design around it — the orientation of the mandir, the kitchen, the main bedroom and the entrance — and we work with your consultant rather than second-guessing them. If it is not something you follow, we will not impose it. It is your home.

Rooms for three generations

Parents visiting for months at a time, or living with you. That means a guest suite that is genuinely comfortable rather than a spare room, bathrooms planned with ageing in mind, and quiet space in a busy house — not an afterthought at the end of the project.

Selected work

Indian homes we have designed

Hand-painted mandirs, Kerala mural work, Pichwai and Madhubani — placed in houses that still read as contemporary.

New home buyers

Just bought in Frisco, Prosper or Celina?

The most useful hour of the whole project is the one before your design-centre appointment. Flooring, cabinetry, lighting and the position of the mandir are all easier and cheaper to decide now than to change later.

Questions

Good to know

Are you an Indian interior designer?
Yes. The studio is run by Neha, who grew up in India, spent years in Scandinavia, and has designed homes in Frisco and across North Dallas since 2019. That background is the reason the work blends Scandinavian restraint with Indian warmth, colour and craft.
Can you design a pooja or mandir room?
Yes, and we have designed several — from a dedicated mandir room to a defined corner in an open plan. The considerations are orientation, storage, lighting, and materials that survive daily use. We work with your preferences on direction and ritual rather than applying a template.
Do you follow vastu?
Where it matters to the family, yes — we design to it and coordinate with your vastu consultant if you have one. Where it does not, we leave it alone. Either answer is a perfectly good one.
We want an Indian home, not an Indian-themed one. Is that what you do?
That is exactly what we do. The aim is a contemporary home that happens to hold your traditions properly — not a room decorated to look Indian. Heritage pieces work best when they are the thing you notice second, after the room itself.
Which areas do you cover?
We work in person across Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, Little Elm, The Colony, Celina, Lewisville, Fairview and the wider Dallas area. Virtual consultations are available anywhere in the United States, which is how we work with families further afield.
We are buying our first home here. When should we involve you?
Before closing if you can. A short consultation while selections are still open — flooring, cabinetry, lighting — saves more than it costs, because those are the decisions that are expensive to undo later.
